Together with the Faculty of Education of the Charles University we have created two special children´s tours for our youngest visitors. While waiting for the tour, children can pass the time in the children´s corner-castle with a slide, or at the mock archaeological site-in a sandpit where they can practice some archaeology work. We can lend beautiful costumes to young princesses and princes. They are lent for free for a deposit. Your children can plan the trip to Bečov on the children´s website themselves! 

Apart from the special children´s tours, you can also use our mobile app. It is designed as a multilingual audio guide both for children and adults; you can use it on the route of the 1st tour - the St. Maurus Reliquary. The app can be downloaded for free and is available for Android as well as for iOS.

• Route No. 3 – Reliquary for Everyone  

The tour is for children aged 7-12. Children get actively involved in the tour, the guide explains to them in a playful way with the aid of a real-size touch model and a comic book what a reliquary and relics are, what precious items it conceals and introduces the lives of some of the saints. The route is livened up by several other activities and games and finishes in the safe room with the original St. Maurus Reliquary.

The St. Maurus Reliquary model is also used by the visually impaired. We will happy to assist you with the tour; we recommend you inform the chateau management about your visit in advance.

You can book a lecture on the St. Maurus Reliquary with us; we can bring the 1:1 St. Maurus Reliquary model to you and adjust the presentation based on the target audience (senior homes, schools, work groups, museums, accommodated guests, councils, etc.). 

The tour can be taken all year round when booked in advance.

• Route No. 4 – A Walk Through the Past

A walk through the premises for the youngest visitors (aged 4-8). The route is inspired by the Pohádka o bečovském dávnosnění children´s book based on real historical events that you will get when you purchase a ticket, so you can go back to the experience of the Bečov chateau visit anytime. The tour of the chateau interiors is extended to the gardens, rock adits and a "secret" staircase ending in the sala terrena where there are historical costumes ready to be tried on, samples of traditional cutlery, historical games, etc.

Not interested in the children´s tours? No problem! There are several elements for children installed along the tour routes - during the tour, children can look for lost Bečov sheep, play little games or go for a parallel tour of their own using special panels.  

At the end of each tour, the young visitor is knighted and gets a knighting certificate to take home.
