Set out on a journey and experience the story of the Reliquary of Saint Maurus! The museum-gallery exhibition presents a unique Romanesque goldsmith’s treasure of priceless value—the Reliquary of Saint Maurus. The accompanying exhibition then guides you through the history of this masterpiece. Visitors explore the exhibition on their own; the tour is self-guided. All exhibition texts are available in both Czech and English.
In the new exhibition located in the restored Pluhov Palace, you will not only view the original Reliquary of Saint Maurus, but also discover the fascinating history behind it. During your visit, you will learn how it was created and follow its remarkable journey through time. The tour also includes the thrilling story of the search for the unknown "antique" of extraordinary value, complete with a look inside the investigator’s office. This historical journey culminates in the restoration phase and an in-depth look at the various techniques of goldsmith ornamentation. The exhibition features interactive elements, with the absolute highlight being the viewing of the original Romanesque Reliquary of Saint Maurus.
Reservations are required only for groups of more than 15 people. You can book a group tour at becov.rezervace@npu.cz. Individual visitors can purchase tickets online or directly at our castle ticket office.

The historic interiors of the lower baroque chateau present the era of the 19th century. The exposition is mostly composed of the original mobiliary, which was part of the possession of the last nobel owners of Bečov estate - the Beaufort-Spontin family. The most authentic place of the chateau is the library and the St. Peter´s chapel.
