The tour takes 45 minutes and there are maximum 25 persons in a group. This is only guided tour. For bigger groups of foreign visitors it is possible to use an audio guide in German, English, Russian, French, Italian, Polish. There are five rooms dedicated to the presentation of this national culture monument.
Visitors get to know about an interesting history of this valuable relic at the beginning of the tour. Visitors will be able to see the content of the shrine in the photos of large formats.
In the second room, it is possible to listen to an exciting story about the revelation of the shrine in 1985. And it is available to see an authentic short film from its discovery and pickup from the wooden floorboards by the policemen in the castle chapel.
In the third room, the visitors will learn in detail about the decoration of the shrine and about the process of its restauration.
The original wooden core of the shrine is situated in the fourth room. There are many others presentations of existing shrines to imagine various shapes and measures they could have. It´s presented the explanation why the shrines were made and what it could be typically found inside of them.
At the end of the tour, the visitors can see the original decoration of the shrine of St. Maurus in the safe deposit room.
